A new member joins Aamir Khan’s family on July 5. The Bollywood superstar is marrying Gauri Spratt in an intimate ceremony at his residence in Mumbai. They will be registering their union under the Special Marriage Act (SMA), 1954. With this, Aamir’s family expands and opens its arms to welcome Gauri. Khan hails from an affluent film family, whereas his to-be-wife doesn’t belong to the fraternity. From starting his career as filmmaker Tahir Hussain’s son to being related to Aditi Rao Hydari after marrying Kiran Rao, Aamir’s extended family is huge.

He later went on to start his own production house named Nasir Hussain Films and backed cult films like Teesri Manzil and Yaadon Ki Baraat.

Aamir has three siblings. His sisters are Farhat Khan and actress Nikhat Khan Hegde, who featured in movies such as Pathaan and the recent release, Main Vaapas Aaunga. His brother is former actor . The Bollywood superstar’s cousin, Mansoor Khan, the son of Nasir Hussain, directed him in his debut, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, followed by Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander and Akele Hum Akele Tum. Mansoor directed Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai’s Josh and returned as a co-producer with Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na.
