Nagabandham: The Secret Treasure hit theatres on Friday amid decent expectations. Directed by Abhishek Nama, the mythological action adventure stars Virat Karrna alongside Nabha Natesh and Iswarya Menon in the lead roles.
The film has now completed its first two days at the global box office, collecting Rs. 13.14 crore worldwide. Despite receiving mixed to negative responses from critics and audiences, it managed to register decent evening and night occupancies, particularly in its home markets.
The film’s grand scale and mythological backdrop appear to have worked in its favour during the opening weekend, helping it draw audiences to theatres. With Sunday expected to provide another boost, early booking trends indicate an improvement in collections.
The bigger challenge, however, begins on Monday. The film’s weekday hold will determine whether it can maintain its momentum and sustain a healthy run at the box office.
Backed by NIK Studios and Abhishek Pictures, the film features cinematography by Soundar Rajan, music by Junaid Kumar-Abhe, action by Vlad Rimburg, and extensive VFX by leading studios.
