Hyderabad: An extremely shameful incident of street harassment has come to light in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills area after a video showing three youths misbehaving with women on the road surfaced on social media on Monday evening.
The video, recorded by a passerby, was posted on X (formerly Twitter) by user @AnikethShetty1 at 8:01 PM on August 25. According to his account, the three youths, travelling on a motorbike, followed two young women near the Neeru’s signal in Jubilee Hills and attempted to touch them with a peacock feather.

These 3 pieces of shit were following the girls in front of them and touching them with the peacock feather till I pulled down the window & yelled at them. Would’ve chased them further but the car in front of me didn’t give way pic.twitter.com/pqtOdnSKTr

The video captures the man and his female co-passenger confronting the accused from inside their moving car and following them for a short distance, before the suspects sped away near UR Life Studio, as later revealed in the social media thread.
The footage captures a short verbal altercation between the car’s occupants and the bikers, while also clearly showing the number plate of the motorcycle, marked as TS 13 ES 1865.
Tagging Hyderabad Police in the post, the user sought strict action against the youths. Responding on X, Hyderabad City Police wrote: “Sir, we have shared it with Cyberabad police as the mentioned location comes under them.”
Social media users raise concerns, demand action
The incident has since prompted calls for stronger action against public harassment, particularly in busy localities such as Jubilee Hills, where weekend traffic and nightlife draw large crowds. Police officials are expected to trace the vehicle and identify the accused.
Social media users also voiced their concerns, urging swift action. One user wrote, “Isn’t having the bike’s number plate enough to catch the miscreants?” (@AshwaniiSKumar).
Another remarked, “I don’t know why any State police required location or area to take action when in video it is clearly seen this 3 are at fault just charge them and present in court, try to capture vehicle number and get them from that …” (@MayankShah2106).
A third user added, “Please take action! It’s shameful something like this is happening in your city!” (@FruitwalaMinaz).
