Who Is Mokksha? Actress Who Played Meenu Teacher In Gatta Kusthi 2 – Personal Life

Born as Pritha Sengupta to Partha Sengupta and Rina, she hails from Barrackpore in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district. Mokksha studied at St. Claret School and Douglas Memorial Higher Secondary School in Barrackpore.


Before entering the film industry, she worked as a teacher at St. Augustine’s Day School, where she also taught dance while pursuing her higher education. She holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Psychology from Asutosh College, Kolkata. A trained classical dancer, Mokksha has received formal training in Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Odissi. She is 26 years old.

As per reports Mokksha is unmarried. She is currently not dating anyone.

Which Films Has Mokksha Been A Part Of?

Gatta Kusthi 2 is not Mokksha Sengupta’s debut film. She made her Tamil cinema debut opposite Angadi Theru Mahesh in Inga Naan Thaan Kingu and entered Telugu cinema with Lucky Lakshman. She later appeared in Telugu films such as Neethone Nenu, I Hate You, Alanaati Ramchandrudu and Ramam Raghavam.

In Malayalam cinema, Mokksha made her debut with Kallanum Bhagavathiyum, where her portrayal of Goddess Bhagavathy won appreciation from audiences. She followed it up with the horror film Chithini. Apart from films, she has also featured in the Bengali web series Rawkto Bilaap. Mokksha played lead roles in the Bengali films Karma and Sorsephool.

Before gaining attention for her role in the Tamil film Gatta Kusthi 2, Mokksha Sengupta went viral in 2024 for a powerful street dance performed in response to the RG Kar incident.

Set to a song by poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, the performance was organised by an NGO in Santoshpur, South Kolkata. Mokksha took part in the event to express her solidarity with the movement, and her emotionally charged performance went viral across social media.
