John Abraham – Actor Recalls Eating 64 Chapatis After Football Match

Bollywood fitness icon John Abraham has recalled an unusual dining experience from his younger days, saying he once ate 64 small chapatis at an unlimited Gujarati thali restaurant after playing a football match. The actor shared the story during an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, where host Kapil Sharma brought up the memorable incident.

The conversation began when Kapil Sharma referred to reports that John had eaten dozens of chapatis at a restaurant before being told by a waiter that rice was also available. John explained that the number sounded surprising because the chapatis served at the restaurant were very small.

A post-match meal turned into a memorable story

John said the incident happened after he and his friends had finished a football match. At the time, they were young and had gone to an unlimited Gujarati thali restaurant to eat. He recalled that the rotis were much smaller than regular chapatis, which made it possible for him to eat a large number.

According to John, the waiter watched as he continued ordering more chapatis and eventually informed him that rice was included in the meal as well. The actor said he responded by asking the waiter to continue serving the chapatis first.

The Force actor added that he did not stop at the rotis. After completing the 64 chapatis, he also went on to eat rice. The story drew attention for its light-hearted description of the actor’s appetite during his younger years.

John Abraham remains closely associated with fitness

John has long been known in the Hindi film industry for his disciplined fitness routine and action-oriented screen roles. Over the years, he has appeared in films that have highlighted his physical presence, including Force, Welcome Back and several other commercial projects.

While the actor is often associated with strict training and nutrition habits, the restaurant story offered a glimpse into a more relaxed phase of his life. His account also reflected the demanding energy requirements of regular football and other physical activities.

The actor has frequently spoken about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, although he has also emphasised that fitness should be approached with consistency rather than extreme restrictions. His appearance on the comedy show brought a lighter side of that public image to viewers.

Force 3 set to expand the action franchise

On the work front, John is preparing for Force 3, the next chapter in the action franchise that began with Force. The upcoming film is expected to feature Harshvardhan Rane and Tanya Maniktala in important roles alongside John.

Speaking about the project, John said the Force series holds a special place for him because of its grounded action style and distinct identity. He said audiences have connected with the franchise over the years because of its intensity and straightforward storytelling.

John also expressed enthusiasm about Harshvardhan Rane joining the film as an action performer. He said the actor has the screen presence, energy and commitment needed for the genre, adding that viewers may enjoy seeing him in a new action-led role.

Force 3 is expected to continue the franchise’s focus on high-stakes action while introducing new characters and a broader scale. Further details about the film’s production schedule and release date are yet to be announced.
