BTS V Begs For Privacy As Sleep Tracker Stats Sparks Concern About His Health; ARMY Reacts – ‘Leave Him Alone’

BTS member V aka Kim Taehyung, left fans concerned after he shared an emotional message asking people to stop camping out in front of his hotel during overseas schedules. The K-pop idol’s plea, posted on Weverse, soon caught attention, not just because he asked for privacy but also because he shared a screenshot of himself sleeping for just over two hours before resuming his jam-packed itinerary. V’s message comes as BTS continues its ongoing ARIRANG World Tour. In the midst of this, Tae also juggled separate commitments for Paris Fashion Week, which he recently attended as a global ambassador for luxury brand CELINE. Even though he left heads turning at the event, V’s personal condition wasn’t seemingly good, and he wished for some time off to re-energise, which reflected in his text too.

V also expressed his appreciation for fans’ warm welcome wherever he travels to but asked them not to gather outside the hotel he is staying at in his Weverse post. One reason the group doesn’t release information on their hotel stays, he said, is to protect their privacy and help them stay in good physical condition to perform.

The singer also said that one of the greatest pleasures of travelling is being able to experience each place by going to restaurants, walking around the city and peacefully soaking up the local culture, something that is hard to do when fans crowd their accommodation. V ended with a polite request for fans’ understanding and urged that such situations not occur again.

It was however, the attached screenshot to the post that shocked fans more than the message itself.   shared his sleep tracker which said that he had only slept 2 hours and 27 minutes, and warned him that his sleep stability was low, even though he had kept to his sleep schedule.

The screenshot instantly raised alarm bells on social media, with many fans noting that V had flown directly from BTS’ Madrid concert to Paris, where he attended runway shows, brand events, dinners and other promotional activities before gearing up to rejoin the group’s tour.

Many ARMY members were sad that an artist working under such demanding conditions still had to ask for basic privacy and respect.

Online reaction has been largely in support of V and critical of those gathered outside the hotel. A fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “taehyung posting his sleep analysis showing that he barely slept asking you to stop coming around their hotel for him to be able to rest is so fucking embarrassing. genuinely you have no consideration for the boys, no respect for them whatsoever. it pisses me off that they have to beg for respect. it’s genuinely heartbreaking to see.”

Others stated that this was not the first time that V had asked fans to respect his personal space and expressed disappointment that he had to ask again. Many also called the situation heartbreaking, saying no artist should have to share personal health information just to get people to stop invading their privacy. “Stop calling yourselves fans if you can’t respect the simplest boundary. Chasing someone to their hotel isn’t dedication it’s harassment…they’re humans too, not public property. That’s shameful!! he’s not even sleeping well like it’s showing!,” a post read.

“I’m truly grateful that you want to welcome and support us, but if possible, I’d appreciate it if you could refrain from coming to the front of our hotel. Part of the reason is that I don’t want to share where we’re staying, and it can also affect my condition for the performance, so I’m asking for your understanding. Also, while I’m on tour, the time I have to visit good restaurants, walk around, and comfortably enjoy the country is very precious to me. So going forward, I hope you won’t come to the front of our hotel anymore. I kindly ask for your consideration.”
