Lenin: Akhil Akkineni reveals shocking freak accident behind his long absence

Akhil Akkineni’s Lenin is set to arrive in theatres next week. The actor has begun promoting the film, and in a recent interview, he was asked why it took so long for him to return to the big screen. Akhil opened up about a serious injury he suffered, leaving fans shocked.

“I understand. It’s a long break. Half was my fault. Half was not in my hands. I had an injury that made me undergo two surgeries on my left hand, and it took 16 months to recover. Four months after Agent was released, I slipped on a wet bathroom floor and fell onto a glass piece. It cut through my vein and nerve. It was a freak accident. It was an unpleasant injury that shook me completely,” said Akhil.

He added, “For seven to eight months, I couldn’t lift any weights. It took about 16 months in total to recover, get back to the gym, and resume physical activity.” The revelation left Akkineni fans shocked, as many had been criticizing the actor for the long delay without knowing about the injury.
