Sunil Shettys Emotional Departure from Hum Hain Bemisaal Shoot After Divya Bhartis Tragic News

The Bollywood film ‘Hum Hain Bemisaal’ is remembered as one of the iconic action movies of the 1990s, featuring major stars of that era. It is not only celebrated for its action sequences and star-studded cast but also for the real-life events that unfolded during its shooting. Actress Madhu recently shared a poignant memory related to this film.

In a conversation, Madhu recounted, “Sunil Shetty and I were shooting in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. The shoot was progressing normally until we received the heartbreaking news that the famous actress Divya Bharti had passed away. A hush fell over the set, and everyone was deeply saddened. No one knew how to react to such an unexpected tragedy.”

Madhu revealed that Sunil Shetty was quite close to Divya Bharti. They shared a respectful bond, and upon hearing the news of her demise, Sunil immediately left the shoot and rushed back to Mumbai without wasting any time.

“I never met Divya Bharti personally, but our families had a long-standing friendship. My father and Divya’s father knew  well, which made me feel a connection to her,” Madhu added.

Divya Bharti tragically passed away on April 5, 1993, at the young age of 19. Reports suggest that she fell from the balcony of her fifth-floor apartment in Mumbai. Her death was officially ruled an accident, yet many questions and discussions about the circumstances surrounding it continue to linger.

As for ‘Hum Hain Bemisaal,’ it was directed by Deepak Bahry and starred Madhu and Sunil Shetty in lead roles, alongside Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shirodkar in significant parts.
