Galle, July 2: A has made an impressive start in the second match of the unofficial four-day against India A. By the end of Thursday’s play, the host team scored 288 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 85 overs.

India A won the toss and invited the home team to bat first. Pawantha Veerasinghe and Sohan De Livera added 53 runs for the first wicket. Sohan De Livera was dismissed for 28 runs, hitting 3 fours. Veerasinghe then partnered with Nuwanidu Fernando to add 33 runs for the second wicket. In his innings of 39 runs off 67 balls, Veerasinghe struck 1 six and 2 fours.
