In the Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh, amid preparations for a wedding ceremony, there was a stir when the bodies of a young man and a girl were found hanging inside a house. There was a Haldi ceremony at home on Thursday. Meanwhile, the bodies of both of them were found hanging from the noose of their saree inside the room. On receiving information from family members, the police reached the spot, inspected the spot, took possession of the bodies and sent them to the district headquarters for post-mortem. It is being told that both of them had applied for the mass marriage scheme, but due to the cancellation of the wedding date, they had decided to get married in the temple.
The whole matter is of Mahmudabad Kotwali area. In Mithora village here, there was a stir when the dead bodies of a boyfriend and girlfriend were found inside the same house. According to the information, a love affair was going on between the youth Guddu (25), resident of Bargadiya and Ruchi, resident of Bithaura, resident of the police station area for three years. Family members told that both of them were to get married on November 25 under the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme. Due to some reason, the wedding date was cancelled, the family members had decided to hold the wedding in the temple.
The bodies of both were found hanging in the room.
Family members told that there was a haldi program in the house on Thursday, but when the door of Ruchi’s room was opened in the morning, the bodies of Ruchi and Guddu were found hanging from the noose of their saree. Seeing the dead bodies of both, there was a commotion in the house. As soon as information about the incident was received, ASP South Praveen Ranjan Singh reached the spot with the police force. The police, with the help of the forensic team, investigated and sent the bodies to the district headquarters for post-mortem.
The boy’s family expressed fear of murder
The family members of young Guddu lodged a complaint with the police, suspecting the girl’s brother-in-law of murder. Family members say that the young man had a dispute with the girl’s brother-in-law 2 to 3 days ago. After this, after the bodies of both were found today, suspicion of murder has been raised. ASP South Praveen Ranjan Singh said that the situation will become clear after the post-mortem report, because prima facie the case appears to be a suicide.
