A case of rape of a girl has come to light from Khorabar police station area of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, the family members beat the accused badly. Police reached the information and admitted the accused to BRD Medical College in critical condition. A case has been registered against him on the complaint of the victim.
The girl, resident of a village in Khorabar police station area, told the police that she had gone to the fields for some work. Meanwhile, a young man from the village reached there and started talking to me. Also said that I am going home now. If you also want to go home, then come and sit on my bike. I will drop you home.
Why didn’t the victim get suspicious?
The victim told that the young man was from the village, so she did not doubt him. Sat on the bike with him. He started going towards the village via Rapti river. He stopped the car at a deserted place on the way. He got down on the pretext of repairing the car and dropped me off as well. Then suddenly he pulled me into the bushes and started raping me.
The victim told that she kept screaming, but he did not show any mercy to her. He raped me. Hearing the screaming, some people nearby came and caught the accused. During this time they informed my family about the incident. People said that we could not even dream that a married youth of the village would do such a heinous act. During this time someone informed the police. The police reached the spot and took the accused under their custody, saved his life and admitted him to the medical college in critical condition.

Regarding the incident, CO Cantt Yogendra Singh said that as soon as the information about the rape of the girl was received, the Khorabar police reached the spot. There the accused was being beaten badly by the angry people of the village. His condition remains critical. He has been admitted to the hospital. A case has been registered on the basis of the complaint received from the family of the victim girl.
