Pakistan again gets a new head coach, this bowler will take command in place of Jason Gillespie

The number of coaches and captains that the Pakistan cricket team has changed in the last one year is rarely seen in any team before. This trend is still continuing and once again the Pakistani team has got a new coach. Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Monday 18 November that former fast bowler Aaqib Javed will now be the coach of the team in ODI and T20. Aaqib Javed will take over this role in place of Jason Gillespie, who was given this responsibility for the Australia tour.

PCB announced on Monday that Aaqib Javeb will take over this responsibility with the white ball series against Zimbabwe. However, Aaqib has been appointed as the head coach of the team only on an interim basis and he will remain the coach of the team only till the Champions Trophy to be held in February-March 2025. PCB has also said that during this time, a permanent head coach will also be searched, who will be appointed after the Champions Trophy.
