Honoring the last wish of former NASA scientist and famous researcher Dr. Ramesh Chand Tyagi, his family has donated his ancestral house to Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. This house is in Budhana Gate area and is spread over approximately 400 square meters. The value of this property is said to be in crores.

Dr. Ramesh Chand Tyagi died due to illness four years ago at the age of 87. Before his death, he had expressed his wish to his niece Shikha Tyagi to use his property for educational purposes. Shikha said, ‘My uncle had the option to give the property to his sons or sell it, but he decided to donate it. His dream was that this property should be used in the field of education. Keeping this wish in mind, the family has donated this property to the university.

Chaudhary Charan Singh University officials have appreciated this donation and said that this building will be used for the educational purposes of the university. However, it has not been decided yet what specific work will be done on this property. It is being told that a library can be built here, in which history can be depicted. This contribution of Dr. Ramesh Chand Tyagi shows his deep interest in the field of education and his feeling of giving back something to the society.
