Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s film, Maa Inti Bangaaram, directed by B. V. Nandini Reddy, has scripted history at the box office. After 17 years, it broke a major record held steadily by Anushka Shetty’s Arundhati in 2009. The action drama, co-starring Gulshan Devaiah as the antagonist, has become the highest-grossing female-led Telugu film.
Maa Inti Bangaaram was released in theatres on June 19 and received favourable responses from the audience worldwide. The film has been produced by Samantha’s production house, Tralala Moving Pictures. It is the banner’s second title after Subham in 2025.

According to Sacnilk’s report, ‘s worldwide gross collection is Rs 83.12 crore and Rs 51.50 crore in net collections across India. On the first Friday, the Telugu action drama earned Rs 5.62 crore, whereas on the 12th day, its collection was Rs 1.90 crore.
In 2009, Arundhati, a supernatural thriller headlined by Anushka Shetty and directed by Kodi Ramakrishna, had collected Rs 70 crore worldwide in its lifetime and became one of the biggest commercial films led by a female actor in Telugu cinema’s history.
