Two-member Congress team reach Odisha, hold meetings to strengthen party’s organisational structure

Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], November 4 (Desk): The two-member team of observers comprising leader of Chhattisgarh Congress’ Leader of Opposition Charan Das Mahant and senior leader Meenakshi Natarajan have reached Odisha and held extensive meetings with several leaders to strengthen party’s organisational structure.
Earlier, the All-India Congress Committee dissolved the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee following the party’s dismal performance in the State and general elections.
Former Union Minister and Congress leader Bhakta Charan Das sharing the information said, “The Congress party has never been leaderless…The organisational structure in the state was not good but now AICC is trying to fix it.”
“Senior leaders of the party Meenakshi Natrajan arrived in the state and Chhattisgarh LoP Charan Das Mahant held extensive meetings with several leaders and put forth their views before the high command…They will decide on the best interest of the party…,” Charan Das told Desk.
OPCC president Sarat Pattanayak and other office-bearers were removed in July following the party’s disappointing performance in 2024 election. (Desk)
