Before the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, India A team has gone on Australia tour, where it has to play two first class matches. Its first match is being played against Australia A in Mackay. There are 3 players in this match, who are part of the Team India squad in the 5-match Test series. But till the end of the second day’s play, none of them could leave their mark. On the other hand, some players wreaked havoc with ball and bat in Australia, to whom the Indian team has not given a chance.

Mukesh made a comeback with lethal bowling

India’s start in Australia was not good. Batting first, the entire team collapsed on the score of just 107 runs. India looked to be in trouble after being out on such a low score. But fast bowler Mukesh Kumar made a comeback with lethal bowling. He gave an early blow to Australia A on the first day and sent opener Sam Konstans to the pavilion in the very first over. Mukesh’s charm continued on the second day also.

Australia A team started batting with the score of 99 at the loss of 4 wickets. He started the day by breaking the 51-run partnership by dismissing Beau Webster. Then gave 2 more shocks one after the other. Mukesh also took 2 wickets in the end. In this way, this right-arm fast bowler took a total of 6 wickets for 46 runs in 18.4 overs. Due to his lethal bowling, Australia A team, which was looking strong at one time, was all out on 195 and could take a lead of only 88 runs. India in a strong position due to the innings of Sudarshan and Padikkal

Apart from Mukesh, Sai Sudarshan and Devdutt Padikkal also had a blast in Australia. Team India has not given a chance to both of them. After being behind by 88 runs, the Indian team did not have a good start in the second innings also. India A had lost 2 wickets on the score of just 30 runs. After this both of them together made a tremendous partnership of 180 runs.

During this period, Padikkal scored 80 runs in 167 balls, while Sudarshan scored 96 runs in 185 balls and is close to scoring a century. Both the batsmen are currently present at the crease and will start batting on the third day tomorrow. Even in the first innings, both of them had scored the most runs among the batsmen. Sudarshan scored 21 runs, while Padikkal played an inning of 36 runs.

Abhimanyu Easwaran, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Prasidh Krishna are part of the squad for the Australia series. Easwaran has flopped in both the innings. He scored 7 runs in the first innings and 12 runs in the second. Apart from him, all-rounder Nitish was out without opening the account in the first innings, while taking 1 wicket in bowling. On the other hand, Prasidh Krishna bowled somewhat well and took 3 wickets.
