A big case has come to light from the Medical College of Bhagalpur district of Bihar. Here, major action has been taken against 120 students of the medical college in the case of anti-ragging. In the case of ragging by juniors, the college administration has given semester back to 120 MBBS students. Besides, a fine of Rs 25,000 each has been imposed on 11 senior students who sent obscene messages. All the students were also instructed to vacate the hostel.
This action has been taken by the Anti Ragging Committee and its information has also been sent to the National Medical Council of India. To ensure that no untoward incident takes place in the Medical College, the Principal has informed the DM, Commissioner, SSP along with Tilkamanjhi and Barari Police Station Head through a letter. After this major incident against ragging, classes are disrupted and there is an atmosphere of fear among the junior students who complained.
Action based on NMC rules
In view of the entire matter, the college management has also alerted the security guards. There is a ban on the entry of any senior along with the juniors inside the main gate. Regarding the matter, senior students say that only a few students were involved in ragging, but it is wrong to take action against the entire batch. On this, the Principal said that after the incident, a meeting of the entire batch was called, in which the name of the student who indulged in ragging was asked, but everyone kept their mouths shut, after which action was taken based on the rules of NMC (National Medical Commission). .
What is the whole matter?
First year students of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Bhagalpur had lodged a complaint with the National Medical Commission through an email about ragging by the students of 2023 batch, in which it was written that last week, senior students had shaved the heads of junior students. He was made a chicken. Also, senior students had sent obscene messages and objectionable posts on WhatsApp to the newly enrolled students of 2024 batch.
Instructions given to vacate the hostel
All the senior students of 2023 batch were made accused in the head shaving case. In the case of objectionable post, names of 11 senior students are mentioned. In this case, a notice has been pasted on the hostel and instructions have also been issued to the senior students of 2023 batch to vacate the hostel for 6 months.
