UP: ‘Children given 15 marks on 10 number question’, Madrasa teacher’s act, how exposed?

A surprising case has come to light in a madrasa in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. Here in the half-yearly examination, a teacher gave 15 marks to the candidates on a question of 10 marks. When this act of the teacher was revealed, there was a stir. The Madrasa management has hurriedly issued a notice to the assistant teacher and sought his reply.

This is a matter related to Madrasatul Masakeen Madrasa located in Bahadurganj. This madrasa is run by the Minority Welfare Board. Half yearly examinations were conducted here last month. When the answer sheets of class 3 and 4 students reached the Madrasa management for random checking, the teachers who checked were shocked. A question for which maximum 10 marks were prescribed, but 15 marks were given by assistant teacher Faizur Rehman.

Answer sought from teacher

This information was given to the manager and principal of the madrasa. The Principal considered this action of the teacher irresponsible. Also, show cause notice has been issued to the assistant teacher. The assistant teacher has been asked why and under what circumstances 15 marks were given on a question carrying 10 marks.

Ziaurman Rehman, education manager of Madrasa Madrasatul Masakeen, said that half-yearly examinations were held in the Madrasa last month. In the answer paper of Social Science candidates of classes 3 and 4 in the examination, a question for which 10 marks were allotted, 15 marks were given on it. This is an irresponsible act. This discrepancy came to light during random checking of copies.

This happened in the answer sheets of 26 students

According to Ziaur Rehman, about 25 to 26 students have been given such marks, for which a notice has been issued to the assistant teacher by the Principal. He has been given a chance to clarify. He also said that a copy of this notice will also be sent to the Minority Department.
