Nephew Ajit is not alone… These 10 NCP candidates are in Sharad Pawar’s hitlist

Uncle Sharad Pawar, who had suffered political defeat from nephew Ajit regarding the real NCP, is now in the mood for revenge. Senior Pawar has kept Ajit as well as 10 leaders who played important roles in the disintegration of NCP in the assembly elections, under his radar. It is being said that Sharad Pawar himself is preparing a strategy to defeat these 10 leaders in the elections.

This strategy is visible from campaigning to candidate selection. The center of the strategy is YV Chavan Center in Mumbai. It is from here that Sharad is preparing the Panchnama of the traitors. In fact, the Sharad Pawar faction has given the title of traitors to the 10 leaders who broke the NCP. Regarding this, seniors have said many times that we will prepare a new team and oust these leaders.

Ajit’s problems increased by fielding Yugendra

Yugendra Pawar is the son of Ajit’s brother Srinivas Pawar. Sharad Pawar has fielded Yugendra from Baramati seat against Ajit. Ajit’s wife had contested the recent Lok Sabha elections from Baramati seat, where she lagged behind Ajit’s seat by 43 thousand votes.

In such a situation, Yugendra’s entry into the field against Ajit is being considered a big political bet of Sharad.

To defeat these 10 stalwarts of NCP along with Ajit, Sharad Pawar is writing the script of Traitor vs Loyalist. According to leaders associated with NCP, Sharad Pawar wants that the issue of betrayal should dominate in this election like the Lok Sabha elections.

Not only nephews, these 10 leaders are also on Sharad’s radar

Chhagan Bhujbal- Chhagan Bhujbal, a minister in the Shinde government, was once considered close to Sharad Pawar. Even when Chhagan was stuck in court, Sharad stood firmly with him, but in 2023, when Ajit sounded the bugle of rebellion, Chhagan separated from Sharad.

Leaving Sharad Pawar, Chhagan Bhujbal went to Ajit’s side. Senior Pawar has kept Chhagan under his radar since then. In 2023, when Sharad started his journey after the breakup of the party, he chose Yeola seat for it.

Yeola is the seat of Chhagan Bhujbal. It is being said that Sharad Pawar has taken several rounds of interviews to decide who will be the candidate from this seat. In the recent Lok Sabha elections, candidates supported by Ajit Pawar had lagged behind in Yeola.

In such a situation, Sharad hopes that the people of Yeola will teach Chhagan Bhujbal a lesson of betrayal in the assembly elections also.

Dilip Valse Patil- Dilip Valse Patil, a senior minister of Maharashtra government, was once Sharad Pawar’s eyes and ears. Valse Patil, who was Pawar’s personal secretary, has been a minister in many governments. During the rebellion, Patil took Ajit’s hand.

Ajit has again made Patil a candidate from Ambegaon seat. Ambegaon of Pune district is considered the stronghold of NCP. Sharad Pawar has made Devdutt Nikam the candidate from Ambegaon. Nikam is a cooperative leader and manages a sugar mill in Ambegaon taluka.

Nikam has the support of local MP Amol Kolhe. It is being said that Sharad wants to upset Valse Patil by removing Nikam. In the recent Lok Sabha elections, Sharad Pawar’s party had achieved a big lead in Ambegaon.

Hasan Mushrif- Sharad Pawar has also made a strong front against Hasan Mushrif, who is close to Sharad Pawar. Mushrif also rebelled and joined Ajit. It was Sharad Pawar who took Mushrif forward in politics. It is being said that now Pawar is trying to close the political chapter of Mushrif.

Ajit Pawar has fielded Mushrif from Kagal seat. Sharad has handed over the symbol from here to Samarjit Ghatke. In 2019, Ghatke, who contested as an independent, got 88 thousand votes. However, Mushrif had won from here by 28 thousand votes.

However, this time Mushrif’s path is not easy. This time the support of Shiv Sena (UBT) and Congress is also with Samarjeet.

Narhari Jhirwal- Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Narhari Jhirwal is also on Sharad Pawar’s radar. Jhirwal has been contesting elections from Dindori seat. During the rebellion, she had held Ajit’s wife, due to which Sharad got angry. Ajit has fielded Jhirwal again.

Sharad himself is preparing a strategy here to teach Jhirwal a lesson. Recently, senior Pawar was successful in bringing Jhirwal’s son into his fold. Seeing Sharad’s blockade, Jhirwal is also scared. Recently one of his statements went viral, in which he was saying that I have Sharad Pawar’s blessings.

Sanjay Bansode- Sanjay Bansode, minister in Eknath Shinde government, is also on the target of Sharad Pawar. During the rebellion, Sanjay had also held Ajit’s hand. Now Sharad is busy teaching a lesson to Sanjay Bansode in the elections. Sharad has made Sudhakar Bhalerao a candidate against Sanjay who has contested on Ajit’s symbol from Udgir.

In 2014, Bhalerao had defeated Sanjay in Udgir on the BJP symbol. Bansode’s path has become difficult with Bhalerao’s entry into the fray.

Chetan Tupe- Chetan Vitthal Tupe, MLA from Hadsapar seat of Pune district, had also left Sharad Pawar and gone with Ajit during the rebellion. In 2019, Sharad Pawar had given ticket to Tupe and sent him to the assembly from Hadsapar. At the time of the rebellion, senior Pawar hoped that Tupe of the Young Brigade would not go with Ajit.

Sharad Pawar has made organization leader Prashant Jagtap a candidate against Tupe. Earlier there was talk of some other name contesting from here, but in the end, citing loyalty, Sharad gave the symbol to Prashant.

Prashant has worked for Sharad Pawar in Baramati. At the time of Ajit’s rebellion, Prashant was firmly holding the position in Baramati.

Dattatreya filling- Dattatreya Bharne won from Indapur assembly seat, considered a stronghold of Congress and NCP, in 2014 and 2019. During the rebellion, Dattatreya Bharne left Sharad’s side and joined Ajit’s side.

To teach Bharne a lesson, Sharad himself has laid the chessboard. First, he has made BJP’s Harshvardhan Patil the candidate from here and now he himself is looking at the mathematics here. Supriya Sule had got a huge lead of 26 thousand in Indapur seat of Baramati Lok Sabha in 2024.

Sharad wants to maintain this lead. Harshvardhan Patil had lost the election from this seat in 2019 by 3 thousand votes. In such a situation, Bharne’s situation has become very difficult due to his re-entering the field.

Bhagwantrao Atram- Drugs Minister Bhagwantrao Atram in Shinde government was also considered close to Sharad Pawar at one time. Atram was also elected MLA from Aheri seat in 2004. During the rebellion of 2023, Atram left Sharad and went with Ajit.

Now Sharad Pawar has fielded Bhagyashree of Atram family from Aheri seat. Bhagyashree is the daughter of Bhagwantrao and earlier used to look after the functioning of the organization. In the recent Lok Sabha elections, the candidate supported by Ajit had proved to be a loser in Ahiri assembly seat.

Ashutosh Kale- Kopargaon MLA Ashutosh Kale is also in the hitlist. Kale’s grandfather Shankarrao Kale was a friend of Sharad Pawar. It was because of Shankarrao that Ashutosh was given the ticket in 2019. During the rebellion in 2023, Kale went with Ajit.

Sharad Pawar has now fielded Sandeep Warpe from here. Sandeep, a lawyer by profession, has been associated with Pawar since the inception of NCP. Sharad Pawar has taken this seat for Sandeep from Shiv Sena.

Dhananjay Munde- Dhananjay Munde, a minister in the Shinde government, is the nephew of late leader Gopinath Munde. When Dhananjay rebelled against his uncle, Sharad took him under his wing. In 2019, Dhananjay won the election on Sharad Pawar’s party symbol. Dhananjay went with Ajit in the rebellion of 2023.

Now Sharad Pawar himself is laying the political chessboard against Dhananjay. Who will be the candidate from here and how will he be defeated by the equation? Its strategy is being prepared at YV Chavan Center in Mumbai.

Sharad has not yet announced the candidate for Dhananjay’s Parli seat, but it is being said that only OBC face will be fielded from here.
