The statement of BJP leader Kartikeya Singh Chauhan has created a political uproar in Madhya Pradesh. Addressing the workers in Budhni, Karthikeya said that if the Congress candidate wins the assembly by-election, not a single brick will be laid here. If we lose the elections, then how will we approach the Chief Minister and the Union Agriculture Minister? After this statement of Kartikeya, there is political turmoil in Madhya Pradesh.
After the statement of Kartikeya Singh Chauhan, veteran Madhya Pradesh Congress leader and former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh retaliated. Digvijay Singh said that Karthikeya should not give such speeches from now on, learn from his father Shivraj Singh Chauhan. In democracy, both the government and the opposition together cooperate in the building of India. I was also the Chief Minister for 10 years, but I never used this type of language.
Who is Kartikey Singh Chauhan?
Kartikeya Singh Chauhan is the elder son of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Talking about Karthikeya’s education, apart from Bhopal, he has also completed LLM from Pennsylvania University of America after Symbiosis, Pune, i.e. he is also a lawyer. Apart from this, he also does business. It is said that he also has a dairy in Vidisha. As far as politics is concerned, he has inherited it.
Before coming to the Centre, the command of Madhya Pradesh government was in the hands of Shivraj Singh Chauhan. After Shivraj Singh Chauhan became a minister at the Centre, Kartikeya Chauhan has become quite active in the politics of Madhya Pradesh, whether it is meeting party workers or holding a meeting. After becoming the Union Minister, Kartikeya is now busy filling his father’s void. However, Karthikeya has not yet entered electoral politics.
By-elections being held in Budhni
Shivraj Singh Chauhan contested the assembly elections for the first time in 1990 from Budhni seat. After this, he was MP from Vidisha several times. Since 2003, he has been elected as MLA from Budhni assembly seat. This time the party had contested the parliamentary elections against Shivraj Singh Chauhan, after winning, he had to vacate the Budhni seat. Therefore, now by-elections are being held on Budhni seat. Karthikeya is more attached to Budhni seat because in a way it had become the seat of his family.
In the same Budhni itself, Karthikeya had given a statement while addressing a public meeting, after which there has been a political turmoil. Congress leaders are repeatedly giving advice to Karthikeya on his statement. Congress leaders are telling him to learn politics from his father Shivraj Singh Chauhan, while till now BJP is maintaining silence on this entire matter.
Kartikeya Singh Chauhan retaliated on Digvijay Singh’s statement
Kartikeya said that Digvijay Singh ji is a senior leader. If Digvijay uncle, a two-time Chief Minister and National General Secretary of Congress, follows me and listens to my speech, then it is a matter of good fortune for me. On the other hand, when it comes to Congress and its statements, they all talk about intimidation. If anyone feels fear, then the people of Budhni feel fear because of your 10 years in which you left the state on the verge of destruction. If someone feels scared then it is due to the conditions of potholed roads and difficult electricity supply. We also wanted to learn from you, but during your 10 years of rule, no work was done from which we could learn.
