Actor Akshay Oberoi is entering one of the most exciting phases of his career with a diverse lineup of films. From starring alongside Shah Rukh Khan in King to sharing screen space with Manoj Bajpayee in an upcoming crime thriller, Oberoi says he feels fortunate to be part of projects that span multiple genres.
Working With Shah Rukh Khan and Manoj Bajpayee
Reflecting on this significant milestone, Akshay Oberoi said he still finds it unbelievable that he is working with two of Indian cinema’s most celebrated actors in the same year.
“I genuinely feel like it’s crazy to think that I am working with Shah Rukh and Manoj, the same year. They both are so diversely different in their craft and they are the true masters of what they do. What excites me the most is the sheer diversity of the worlds I’m entering,” he shared.
From Action Spectacle to Gritty Crime Thriller
Oberoi highlighted how each project offers a completely different cinematic experience. While King is a grand-scale action entertainer, his film with Manoj Bajpayee explores a darker, crime-driven world.
“First there’s King*, which is one larger-than-life story, a magnum opus action film. Then there’s the thriller film with Manoj Bajpayee sir, which is set in a gritty, crime-driven universe. Sharing screen space with someone of his calibre is both intimidating and inspiring. At the same time, being a part of* King*, one of the most anticipated projects in the country right now, feels incredibly surreal,”* he said.
Excited About South Cinema Debut
Apart from his Bollywood projects, Akshay Oberoi is also gearing up to make his South cinema debut, a move he considers an important milestone in his career.
He said, “On top of all this, making my South debut is a huge moment for me personally because South cinema is telling some of the most exciting stories in India today.”

Expressing gratitude for the trust filmmakers have placed in him, the actor said he is committed to making the most of every role.
“I feel fortunate that filmmakers are trusting me with such varied characters, and I’m approaching every single project with gratitude, hunger and the desire to constantly evolve,” Oberoi concluded.
