Asia’s largest ganesha temple: Another huge Ganesh temple is located on the banks of the Vatrak River in Mahamadabad near Ahmedabad. It has also been named Siddhivinayak Temple after the famous Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai, but this temple is many times bigger than the Siddhivinayak of Mumbai in size. This temple is not only in India, but the largest Ganesh temple in Asia, where a 56 feet high statue of Lord Ganesha is installed.

Siddhivinayak temple also elevated from Mumbai

Everyone is stunned to see the grandeur and vastness of the temple. Spread over 6 lakh square feet, this temple is built at an altitude of 20 feet above the ground. The idol of Ganesha installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple is at an altitude of 56 feet above the ground. If you compare this to the Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai, then this temple of Mahamadabad is much larger than that. Its architecture and vastness gives it a distinct identity across the country. The foundation stone for the construction of this temple was on 7 March 2011.
