BTS member Jungkook interacted with fans soon after the band wrapped up the 2-day sold-out Madrid concert on June 26-27 at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium. The Golden Maknae came on Weverse and had a rather fun, goofy and full of laughter-sort-of live session. Holding a beer bottle in hand, Jungkook got candid about several things, from the TikTok dance reel with J-Hope that has already gone viral, to reacting to marriage proposals by putting Suga in the frontline for his “Yoongi marry me!” However, there was one particular moment that miffed not just the singer but even ARMYs. Infact, JK even gave out a strong reply to some of those who were watching him.
In the middle of the session, Jungkook noticed some comments that told him to go to sleep. Since the live was happening later in the night, the comments seemed like an “order” to many. Jungkook, who kept his calm, replied, but his frustration was evident. He told the people sitting on the other side of those posts not to tell him what to do.
Jungkook did a Weverse live, much to the happiness of fans
Jungkook’s strong reply
A rough translation of Jungkook’s reply read, “I’m sorry, but please don’t tell me to go to bed. Don’t tell me to go to bed. I’ll sleep when I decide to. I appreciate that you’re worried about me, and I know you’re saying it because you care, but I’m not sleepy. I’m just not sleepy. What can I do? Even if I want to sleep, I’m not very good at it. I have to take medication to sleep. I just can’t fall asleep.”
Jungkook looked visibly irritated
Jungkook added that sleeping late is the normal routine for him, and hence, he does not like being told to go to bed. “Honestly, I probably won’t get sleepy until around 2. That’s just how I’ve always been. It’s normal for me. I’m not overdoing it. I’m staying up because that’s what I want to do. I really appreciate your concern, and I’m genuinely, genuinely okay. So please don’t say things like, ‘Go to bed soon.’ You don’t have to say that. I’m okay. Really, really okay,” he shared.
Fans post reactions to Jungkook’s reply
ARMY reacts to such comments
Fans were soon seen calling out those who puched Jungkook and tried to tell him “what to do.” A user write on X (formerly Twitter), “Why am I embarrassed even though I didn’t make that comment?! Just shut up and watch / listen to him or you people turn off and go to bed yourself! He’s LIVE again after a while, so stop pissing him off and let us enjoy him!”
Another fan said, “he’s not a kid, he has his reasons, mind your business and be grateful he chooses to spend his time with us and share his thoughts and feelings…this behaviour of fans screams entitled.”
Jungkook, alomg with his bandmates, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and V will next head to Brussels, London, Munich and Paris for the ongoing ARIRANG World Tour.
