The promotional assets of Welcome To The Jungle revealed that it revolves around a group of amateur actors who come together to make a film, which will be shot in a jungle. Welcome To The Jungle plot

Jenny (Jacqueline Fernandez), a rich brat and a dimwit, returns to India to learn that her father, a wealthy businessman (Zakir Hussain), wants to launder money. They decide to make a fake film, invest millions and incur heavy losses when the movie fails at the box office. Jenny’s father agrees. With the help of his assistant (Johnny Lever), he brings two directors, Dev (Rajpal Yadav) and Das (Paresh Rawal). They rope in Rajiv (Akshay Kumar), a former superstar and now freelance actor in Bhojpuri cinema. Uday Bhai’s brother Yeda Anna and Majnu Bhai’s brother Romeo (Arshad Warsi) are cast as actors along with Rajiv’s former girlfriend Nadia (Disha Patani).

Dressed as military officers, they enter a jungle that connects the two sides divided by a border. Azadgarh, a village that is not symbolic of its name. Zatara (Jackie Shroff) is a local dacoit who has terrorised the area and is controlling its residents.

Who is the villain in Welcome To The Jungle

The group of actors, assuming that they have to shoot for a scene that requires fearlessness and bravery, assure the villagers that they will protect them from potential attacks and threats. Zatara’s henchmen believe that the actors are real army men. When they realise that the threat, jungle, Zatara, and Azadgarh’s oppression are real, it is too late to escape. However, they get one chance to leave the village.

A citizen of Azadgarh, Zoya  , a widow who lives with her daughter, Bibi (Farida Jalal) and an elderly man (Kiran Kumar) in the village. She surrenders herself to protect her loved ones. Rajiv is unfazed and leaves the village. Just when the helicopter is ready to fly, Zoya asks Rajiv to take her daughter along with him to a safer side.

Welcome To The Jungle has a double role

Instead of escaping, Rajiv and the bunch of men with him visit the village again. This time, he learns about his father, an army man named Vijayendra Kohli, who is held hostage by Zatara. For many years, he hasn’t seen the outer world and Zatara’s men have chopped his tongue. His colleagues, played by the late Pankaj Dheer, Feroze Khan and Puneet Issar, were also held hostage. They team up with Rajiv and his gang to punish Zatara for his torture. Vijayendra and Rajiv look alike.

Kohli seeks the Indian army’s help in rescuing the residents of Azadgarh. He fights Zatara. While the people of Azadgarh walk towards the border, Zoya’s daughter gets lost in the chaos. The brave old army man saves her and brings her to India safely.
