At least 200 passengers got stuck in the train stuck between Chembur and Bhakti Park stations. Crane’s help has been taken to remove them. Fadnavis posted on X, “For a technical reason, a monorail is stuck between Chembur and Bhakti Park. MMRDA (Mumbai metropolitan area development authority), Fire Department and Municipal Corporation, all agencies have reached the spot. Safety of all passengers is being given supreme priority. No one needs to worry or disturb the safety of all passengers.

Fadnavis also appealed to the people to be patient and said that he was in constant touch with the officials. He said, “I request everyone to maintain patience. I am in touch with MMRDA Commissioner, Municipal Commissioner, Police and all concerned agencies. The causes of this incident will also be investigated.”

200 people were riding in monorail, bent on one side due to overcrowding

Municipal Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani confirmed that there were about 200 passengers in the train. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that Monorail was very crowded. Local train services were postponed due to waterlogging due to heavy rains. He said, “There were about 70-75 people in a coach. There was a lot of crowd. Due to a lot of crowd, the monorail bowed to one side, causing technical problems to arise. It is being investigated.”
