According to the complainant, a resident of Obedullaganj in Raisen district, the accused pressured him to undergo surgery for gender change. However, he allegedly refused to marry her after surgery. Gandhinagar police station in -charge Brijendra Marskole said that after receiving the complaint of the victim, the Bhopal police have registered a case under various sections of the Indian Code including rape and physical abuse. He said that the matter has been registered as Zero ‘FIR and sent to the Narmadapuram police for action, because the accused youth is from there.

Marskole said that after this the complainant underwent surgery in a hospital in Indore and got his gender change and became a girl. He said that medical examination of the victim was conducted, in which her gender change has been confirmed. The police quoted the complainant as saying that only a few months after the surgery, the accused young man slowly started abandoning him and then refused to marry.
