Peddi has landed in fresh trouble in Telangana despite the recent assurance from the TFCC Sub-Committee that there would be no hurdles for the film’s release in the state.
In a new development, exhibitors held a press meet today and announced that the much-awaited Ram Charan starrer would not be allowed ticket price hikes in Telangana. The exhibitors also revealed that they had written a letter to Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressing their opposition to any increase in ticket prices for the film.
The issue does not end there. The exhibitors further stated that, going forward, films in Telangana would be screened only on a percentage-sharing basis instead of the existing rental system. They clarified that this new rule would be applicable to Peddi as well.

With less than two weeks left for the film’s theatrical release, the latest industry developments have triggered concern among fans and trade circles alike. Many are now wondering whether these disputes could impact the smooth release and box office prospects of the big-budget entertainer.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the sports action drama features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. The film has already generated strong buzz with its promotional content and is considered one of the most anticipated Telugu releases of the year.
