Ahmed Khan’s Welcome To The Jungle was released in theatres on June 26. The movie marks the third installment of the Welcome franchise and features a star-studded cast, including Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, and others in lead roles. In order to kick-start its business, the film had paid premieres a day before its release and brought in Rs 2.75 crore. What is Welcome To The Jungle’s box office collection on Day 1?

On Friday, the film earned Rs 15 crore while recording an overall occupancy of 25% across 10,890 shows. With this, Welcome 3 opened to a total collection of Rs 18.75 crore. The film also surpassed the opening-day collection of Akshay Kumar’s previous release, Bhooth Bangla. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film had opened to Rs 12.25 crore net in India.

After adding the premiere collection of Rs 3.75 crore, the film opened with Rs 16 crore. Welcome To The Jungle not only left behind the collection of Bhooth Bangla but also that of Jolly LLB 3, which had opened with Rs 12.50 crore.

Overseas, the film has earned a total gross of Rs 6.50 crore, taking its worldwide gross collection to Rs 29.00 crore.

Welcome To The Jungle follows Welcome (2007) and Welcome Back (2015). The movie is helmed by Ahmed Khan, written by Neeraj Vora, and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, Rakesh Dang, and Vedant Vikaas Baali under Base Industries Group, Cape of Good Films, and Seeta Films.

The film boasts an ensemble cast, starting with Akshay Kumar in a double role, along with Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Aftab Shivdasani, and Jackie Shroff.

The movie missed two big actors—Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor. Addressing the same, Akshay teased a fourth film while speaking to PTI. “Welcome is a full family. This is Nana, Mr Anil, me and all the people. This is like family. If Welcome 4 is ever made, you will find all of them (in it),” he said.
