UP government’s mega plan: Japanese city will be built on 500 acres

The Uttar Pradesh government is working on a plan to establish a Japanese city on about 500 acres in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) area. The city will provide a one-stop solution for industrial, commercial and residential facilities for Japanese companies.

Invest UP and the Indian Embassy in Japan are working together to take this ambitious plan forward.

Important meeting in Tokyo, trust stronger

Recently, Shashank Chaudhary, Head and Additional CEO of Invest UP Japan Desk in Tokyo, met Embassy’s Deputy Chief of Mission R. Met Madhu Sudan. In the meeting, there was an in-depth discussion on making UP the most reliable destination for Japanese investors.

Shashank Chaudhary said that the government is working on improving facilities like plug and play facility, single window system, support in Japanese language.

Increased interest in motor, electronics and green energy sectors

The interest of Japanese companies has increased rapidly in these sectors:

  • Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM)
