Despite repeated calls, neither the doctor is able to move forward nor the voices of the family are able to enter through that door. The question is arising, is this a health crisis or a different message of silence?
Azam Khan’s health deteriorated, but refused to meet doctors
The health of senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, lodged in Rampur jail, is said to be bad for the last few days. The jail administration had called two doctors, General Physician Dr. Haseeb and Surgeon Dr. Arif Rasool, from the district hospital. But when the doctor reached his barrack for examination, Azam Khan clearly refused to meet him. After this, both the doctors returned without examining them.
Even before this, Azam Khan had refused to meet his family members including his wife Tanzeem Fatima. This attitude of continuous denial and silence has increased the concern of the jail administration, although no official response has been given by the administration yet.

Azam and Abdullah are serving seven years each
Recently, Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam were sentenced to seven years in prison for possessing two PAN cards on the basis of fake birth certificates. Apart from this, Abdullah Azam has also been given a second sentence of seven years three days ago in the fake passport case. Both are currently lodged in Rampur jail.
Azam Khan’s health was not going well since his release from Sitapur jail. He had also undergone treatment in Delhi some time ago. But after being sentenced again, he had to come to jail again.
Condition worsened after quitting medicines?
According to the jail management, arrangements have been made for regular medical check-up and medicines of Azam Khan. It is being told that while in jail, he had stopped taking medicines, due to which his health deteriorated further. For this reason, doctors were called on Saturday for examination, but they refused.
Had my eyes checked a day ago
According to jail officials, Azam Khan had undergone an eye test on Friday due to eye problem and had also taken the medicine prescribed by the doctor. But the very next day he was not ready for the physician’s examination.
On the other hand, when family members came to meet him in jail, Azam Khan refused to meet them too. Due to this the family returned disappointed.
Jail administration’s silence increased speculation
Continuous denial, deteriorating health and silence of the administration, these three together have given rise to many speculations. Whether this is just a health related problem, or there is some mental pressure behind it, no official statement has come yet.
