Anay Patil and Vishal Kisan Jadhav won the 30+ Open Men’s Doubles title at the Picklebay Zonals – North, an Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) sanctioned PWR 700 event, at Horizon x Courtplay in Gurgaon on June 26. Anay and Vishal overcame an early setback to defeat Sahil Sachdeva and Rohan Bhatnagar 9-11, 11-7, 11-8 in a fiercely contested final and lift the trophy.
After dropping the opening game, the eventual champions regrouped impressively, tightening their defence and finding better rhythm at the net. Their composure under pressure proved decisive as they turned the contest around to seal the title.
Sahil and Rohan fought hard throughout the final and pushed the winners with aggressive shot-making, but Anay and Vishal held their nerve in the closing stages to complete the comeback.
Earlier, Sreekar and Naveen T secured the bronze medal after defeating Rohan Dsouza and Himanshu Diwaskar 15-7 in the third-place playoff.
