14 government hospitals of UP will be hi-tech: Yogi government approved modern equipment worth Rs 9.80 crore

Yogi government has sanctioned Rs 9.80 crore for installing modern medical equipment in 14 government hospitals of UP. This will provide faster, cheaper and better health services in rural and backward areas and will reduce the pressure on hospitals in big cities.

Lucknow. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government has taken major steps to strengthen the health infrastructure. The government has approved Rs 9.80 crore for installing modern medical equipment in 14 government hospitals of the state. The objective of this decision is to improve health facilities especially in those districts where there is a shortage of modern testing and treatment equipment.

Amount sanctioned to government hospitals of 14 districts

The hospitals for which the government has sanctioned funds include:

  • Ramsagar Mishra Joint Hospital, Sadhamau BKT: ₹2.70 crore
  • District Women’s Hospital, Balrampur: ₹1.52 crore
  • District Hospital, Rae Bareli: ₹1.56 crore
  • District Joint Hospital, Maharajganj: ₹1.16 crore
  • District Joint Hospital, Baghpat: ₹28.55 lakh
  • Dewan Shatrughan Singh Joint Hospital, Hamirpur: ₹3.35 lakh
  • Women’s Hospital, Haraiya (Basti): ₹8.68 lakh
  • Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Joint District Hospital, Etawah: ₹38.96 lakh

This amount will be spent on modern machines, diagnostic equipment and strengthening other health facilities.

Testing and treatment will be faster with modern equipment

The new facilities will provide CT scan, X-ray and advanced diagnostic machines in the district hospitals. From this:

  • The speed of investigation will increase
  • Patients will get cheap and timely treatment
  • Serious cases like cancer, heart disease can be detected immediately
  • Referral cases will reduce
  • Pressure on super specialty hospitals of big cities, especially Lucknow, will reduce.

This step will also help in the development of health facilities as per WHO standards.

Big step towards developed UP-2047 vision

The decision is part of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s “Vikas UP-2047” health policy. The Government aims to:

  • Every district should have modern, technology-enabled health facilities
  • People in rural and backward areas should get better and accessible treatment at local level.
  • Patients from poor, rural and remote areas should not have to go to big cities.

The government believes that this investment will give new strength to the health services of the state and improve the living standards of the people.
