It is helpful in strengthening bones, keeping the immune system healthy and making the muscles work properly. There can be reasons behind its deficiency in the body, such as less sunlight getting to the body, spending more time indoors like staying in office from morning to afternoon, eating less foods rich in Vitamin D are the main reasons for this problem.

Apart from this, due to obesity and consumption of some types of medicines, the body’s ability to absorb Vitamin D also reduces. Apart from this, Vitamin D is not produced in the body due to liver, kidney and some medical conditions. Absorption of vitamin D from the intestine may decrease with increasing age. To correct this, first of all take a balanced diet such as eggs, milk, cheese, fish and dairy products are good sources of Vitamin D.
