Turmeric has not just one but many benefits. The curcumin compound present in it is beneficial for your health and skin. According to the information given in the National Library of Medicine, the history of medicinal use of turmeric is about 4000 years old and many researches have also been done on it. Raw turmeric looks like ginger, but when broken, it is yellow from inside which is due to its curcumin compound. It is also known as Golden Spice. How to make powder from raw turmeric?
- First wash the raw turmeric thoroughly and wipe it with a cloth so that all the moisture is removed.
- Check the turmeric lumps to see if they are damaged anywhere. Remove those parts by cutting them with a knife.
- Now put all the turmeric in a big pan and boil it. Check it with a fork and spoon. If it pierces the turmeric lump easily then turn off the gas.
- Separate all the water from boiled turmeric. For this you can use a strainer or dish drainer.
- Put all the turmeric on a cotton cloth and let it dry in the sun. This takes at least one to two days.
- After boiling, cut raw turmeric into small pieces. Due to this, it dries quickly and is easy to grind in the mixer.

- If you want to make turmeric powder quickly, then instead of sunlight, you can dry the turmeric in the oven. For this, the heat of the oven should be kept light.
- When the moisture of turmeric dries completely and it becomes completely hard to touch, then understand that the turmeric lumps are now ready for making powder.
- If you have already cut the turmeric into small pieces, then grind it directly, otherwise put it in a mortar and pestle, break it into small pieces and then put it in the mixer and grind it.
- After grinding the turmeric, keep filtering it through a fine sieve until all the turmeric is completely ground.
