Lucknow, 01 December. Under UP 2047, developed as per the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a stakeholders’ conference was organized in the capital for the development of health and health education in the state. Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Brajesh Pathak said that Uttar Pradesh’s contribution is important towards realizing PM Narendra Modi’s dream of Developed India 2047. To create a developed UP-2047, a target has been set to spend Rs 1 lakh crore in the coming ten years to strengthen the health sector. He said that after the formation of our government in the year 2017, there has been rapid development in the health system of the state, but we still have to make more efforts to make it at par with developed countries. Minister of State Mayankeshwar Singh and Chief Minister Advisor Avnish Awasthi also expressed their views on the inauguration of the conference. After this, several brainstorming sessions were organized with stakeholders and department officials associated with health care, health education, nursing, paramedical and pharma.

There were 40 medical colleges, now there are 81 in Yogi government.

While addressing the stakeholders conference organized for health and health education under the Vikas UP-2047 mission, State Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Brajesh Pathak said that health services have the most important contribution in achieving the goal of Vikas UP-2047. Our aim is to provide health facilities to 25 crore people of the state near their homes. He said that Uttar Pradesh, which was a sick state before 2017, has now promoted investment in UP due to the construction of maximum expressways, uninterrupted power supply and infrastructure in the state. Even in the field of health services, where earlier there were only 40 medical colleges in the state, their number has increased to 81. Besides, Arogya Mandirs are being operated for every five thousand population, where facilities ranging from pathology testing to primary health care are provided.

Government sets a target of spending Rs 1 lakh crore

In the field of health education too, there are currently more than 12,000 seats as compared to 5000 MBBS seats earlier, while the seats of MS and MD have also increased almost double. Apart from this, Mission Niramaya is being successfully operated and the availability of medical facilities in the state is monitored live through Sanjeevani App. But we still have to make many more efforts to make health services at par with developed countries. For which the state government will provide every possible support, and in the coming days, a target has been set to spend Rs 1 lakh crore to make the developed UP-2047 successful.

Yogi government set a target of 6 trillion dollars

Speaking in the inaugural session of the conference, Chief Minister Advisor Avnish Awasthi said that the Uttar Pradesh government has set a target of contributing 6 trillion dollars to achieve the goal of a developed India in the hundredth year of independence, set by the Prime Minister. Education and health are the fundamental pillars to achieve this goal. Along with the expansion of health services in the state as per the standards of WHO, attention will also have to be paid to its qualitative improvement. We have to expand primary, secondary, tertiary along with paramedical and nursing facilities. Speaking on this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Health and Health Education, Amit Kumar Ghosh stressed on the development of all sectors along with the economy to achieve the goal of Developed India, Developed UP – 2047, and also appreciated the efforts of the state government to develop health services as per standards towards achieving the goals of ADG 30 and also expected everyone’s cooperation to move forward in this direction. On this occasion, Minister of State Manyekeshwar Saran Singh also addressed the session and stressed on extending health facilities from small towns to rural areas.

What is Yogi government’s developed UP-2047 mission?

In order to achieve the mission of UP-2047 developed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, various sessions related to health, health education, nursing, paramedical and pharma were organized in the conference organized on health and health education in the state. In which national and international level experts related to the subject brainstormed and presented the challenges facing the health services of the state and the roadmap for their solutions. Besides, emphasis was also laid on digitization of health services and use of AI. With the aim of making the state’s health facilities in line with WHO standards, the experts stressed not only on infrastructure development but also on making doctors and other medical staff more subject matter experts. Emphasis was also laid on promoting medical research to combat epidemics like Covid.
