UP is making rapid preparations for digital transformation under Vision 2047. In the stakeholder meeting of the IT and Electronics Department, emphasis was laid on strengthening agriculture, MSME, startups and digital education. The strategy was decided to make UP the main center of developed India.
Monday morning was different in Lucknow. Under one roof, the country’s leading tech experts, government officials and industry representatives were drawing the blueprint of the future Uttar Pradesh, which is being envisioned as a major power in the developed India of 2047. This meeting was not limited to just discussions, rather it was preparing a roadmap for the digital revolution, through which preparations are being made to fill new energy in every sector of UP, from villages to cities and from farms to startups.
Principal Secretary of IT and Electronics Department said- UP will have the biggest role in the India of 2047.
In this stakeholder consultation meeting organized at Hotel The Centrum, Lucknow, Principal Secretary Anurag Yadav said that UP is now not just a state but is going to become a digital state playing a central role in building a developed India.
He said that the suggestions emerging from this meeting will decide the future priorities of the government. The Yogi government has made significant progress in many areas, from digital governance to technology-based economy, which will further strengthen.

Preparation for digital revolution in agriculture sector
Digital agriculture and rural empowerment were given priority in the meeting. Experts suggested that an integrated digital ecosystem be created for farmers, so that they can easily get accurate market information, agricultural advice and financial services.
Along with this, suggestions were also given towards strengthening tech-based logistics, tracing system and rural internet connectivity, so that there is a real increase in the income of farmers.
Plan to give digital strength to MSMEs
Considering MSMEs as the economic backbone of the state, emphasis was laid on their digital transformation in the meeting. Suggestions given:
- State Level Market Linkage Platform
- Digital tools training
- Demand Forecasting System for Industrial Clusters
Through this, UP products will get new opportunities in global markets.
New investment in data center and IT city raises hopes
The recent investment proposals worth about Rs 500 crore were welcomed in the meeting. It was also suggested that:
- improve life quality
- expansion of urban facilities
- use of green technology
Will be important in attracting global tech companies.
Special emphasis on digital education and talent building
To connect the youth of the state with future technologies, suggestions came that:
- Digital education should be mandatory in every school
- Expansion of skill development centers in AI and cyber security
- Institutions like IIT BHU should be made major centers for deep tech talent creation.
Preparations to give new momentum to the startup ecosystem
Giving special provisions to startups in government procurement, promoting patents and technology transfer were also discussed in the meeting. Experts said that UP is now taking decisive steps towards a startup nation.
The model of digital state is based on three power pillars
- economic power: Accelerating economic transformation in agriculture, manufacturing, tourism and other sectors.
- creative power: To lay the foundation for sustainable development by strengthening physical and green infrastructure.
- Power of life: To enrich the lives of citizens through education, health, skill development and social empowerment.
Government officials gave detailed answers, sought suggestions from the participants
Top officials including Yogi Adityanath’s advisor Avnish Kumar Awasthi were present in the meeting. The representatives were appealed to give their suggestions in writing, so that they could be included in the plans.
Uttar Pradesh moving towards 1 trillion dollar economy
The economy of UP was Rs 14 lakh crore in 2017, which will increase to Rs 30 lakh crore by 2025. Government’s goal:
- 1 trillion dollar economy by 2029
- 6 trillion dollar economy by 2047
Uttar Pradesh is moving rapidly towards becoming the pivot of developed India by 2047.
