The schedule of ICC T20 World Cup 2026 has been announced and all the teams are busy preparing for it. While Team India is performing strongly before this tournament, now Pakistan has also made a noise about it. The Pakistani team captained by Salman Aga, which has been in good form in the T20 format for the last few weeks, has won another series. Pakistan, which was playing a tri-series at home against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, maintained its dominance and won the final. In the title match, Pakistan won the title by defeating Sri Lanka by 6 wickets.

The final of this T20 tri-series being played in Rawalpindi took place on Saturday 29 November, in which Pakistan made a tremendous comeback on the strength of its bowlers. The Sri Lankan team, which defeated Pakistan in the last match just before the final, had made a good start in this title match. The team had scored 84 runs after losing only 1 wicket in the first 10.2 overs and was moving towards a big score.

But from here, the Sri Lankan innings disintegrated badly in the next 52 balls and the team lost 9 wickets for just 30 runs. Overall, Sri Lanka scored only 114 runs in 19.1 overs. For that, opener Kamil Mishara scored the maximum 54 runs. Whereas for Pakistan, star fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi and spinner Mohammad Nawaz took 3 wickets each.

In response, Pakistan achieved the target in just 18.4 overs. However, it had a slow start and its openers could score only 46 runs in 45 balls. Although the target was not big, hence despite the slow innings of Saim Ayub (36) and Babar Azam, Pakistan won by scoring 118 runs. For that, Babar scored the maximum 37 runs (34 balls).

This is Pakistan’s third consecutive T20 series win in the last one month before the T20 World Cup. The special thing is that the Pakistani team was playing the final of a T20 tri-series for the fourth time and it won the final all four times and captured the title. Also, this was Pakistan’s last T20 match this year. In such a situation, the team will be happy with its preparation before the World Cup.
