Vikasit Gujarat 2047: In the 12th Chintan Shivir held at Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram in Dharampur in Gujarat, CM Bhupendra Patel asked the officials to work with the philosophy of ‘Thinking Well-Doing Well’. Go beyond file work and go to the field to understand the problems.
Gandhinagar: Preparations to make Gujarat developed have intensified. On Saturday, November 29, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has clearly told the officials that if we want to reach the goal of Developed Gujarat @ 2047, then speed, responsibility and sensitivity are required in the work. Concluding the three-day 12th Chintan Shivir organized at Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram, Dharampur in Valsad district, he said that now is the time for the officers to move forward with the philosophy of ‘Thinking Well-Doing Well’. He said that Gujarat has prepared its roadmap by adopting the model of ‘Earning Well-Living Well’ and this camp is very important to further strengthen the same model.
Don’t be satisfied with file work, go to the field- CM
CM Patel clearly told the officials that now development will not be seen only in the files. He said, go to the field, see the real problems, meet people and take decisions on the spot. According to him, by doing this the pace of work increases manifold and officials are able to see real changes on the ground. CM said that if the officers work with a sense of responsibility, dedication and public interest, then only they will get self-satisfaction and the development of the state will also accelerate.
The tradition of thinking camp started by PM Modi is still effective today
CM Patel said that this tradition of Chintan Shivir was started by Narendra Modi during his Chief Minister tenure in 2003. He reminded that in the very first camp, Modi had said, ‘Our approach should be integrated, take villages out of poverty and not a single family should remain below the poverty line.’ CM said that the pledge given by Modi has come true today. Crores of people have come out of poverty and India is now on its way to becoming the third largest economic power in the world. Gujarat also adopted the same vision and in the last two and a half decades, the per capita income of the state has increased from Rs 19,823 to Rs 3,22,000.
Team Gujarat’s collective thinking will bring big results – CM
In this camp which lasted for three days, the officials discussed many important issues. CM said that this camp is not just a platform for talking, but is the beginning of putting ideas on the ground. He said that Team Gujarat should work on the model of collective thinking, collective responsibility and collective development.
Big campaign against malnutrition will start
CM Patel announced that a mass campaign will be launched against malnutrition in Gujarat. He said that this work is not only of the health department, but of every department. He expressed hope that this step against malnutrition will bring positive changes in the entire society.
Results should be visible on ground by the next thinking camp.
CM told the officials that whatever suggestions came in this camp should not remain only on paper. He expressed hope that they will be evaluated from time to time, actually implemented and will bring greater achievements in the next camp. He said that in the coming months, every department will have to work faster so that the pace of development becomes stronger.
Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi’s message – Ideas should be visible on the ground, not in archives.
Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi told the officials at the camp that the three-day discussions were very transparent and meaningful. He urged that the ideas of the camp should not remain limited to the secretariat, they should reach the district and taluka level and the public should get direct benefits from it. He also said that the officers should learn something new from this camp and work wholeheartedly for the welfare of the people.

A large number of officials including members of the State Cabinet, Chief Secretary MK Das, Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister Dr. Hasmukh Adhia, Senior Secretaries, District Collector, District Development Officer were present in the concluding program of the camp. In the end, Secretary of Administrative Reforms and Training Division, Harit Shukla expressed his gratitude to everyone and congratulated them on the success of the camp.
