The actor, who once left Bollywood at the peak of his career and joined Osho’s spiritual group, grabbed headlines following his return to the industry due to his intimate scenes. There are two instances when Vinod Khanna reportedly lost control during intimate scenes and left the actresses traumatised both times.
These two actresses were Madhuri Dixit and Dimple Kapadia.

The incident dates back to 1987, when Vinod Khanna and Dimple Kapadia were shooting for Prem Dharam. Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, the movie starred Dimple and Vinod in the lead roles.
In one of the songs, the duo had to perform a romantic intimate scene. The two had to shoot a hugging and kissing sequence, and that is where the matter began.
While filming the scene, Vinod Khanna reportedly became so immersed in the performance that he continued hugging and kissing her even after director Mahesh Bhatt called “cut” multiple times.
Later, in order to have a long shot, Mahesh changed the camera angle and the crew setup. Even then, Vinod reportedly lost control and continued kissing Dimple despite Mahesh repeatedly shouting “cut.” This left Dimple traumatised, and as soon as Vinod let go of the actress, she rushed off the set. Later, Bhatt asked Vinod Khanna to convince her that he was drunk and apologise to her.
When Vinod Khanna lost control in an intimate scene with Madhuri Dixit
A journalist also shared an anecdote about Madhuri and Vinod’s intimate scene. She said, “Madhuri was very young and new at the time. Vinod Khanna was about 20 years older than her. They had an intimate kissing scene on the set of Dayavan. Vinod Khanna began a deep kiss and didn’t stop even after the call to cut. Everyone present was shocked. During the kissing scene, Vinod Khanna bit Madhuri’s lips. Her lips started bleeding. Only then did Vinod Khanna stop kissing.”
According to reports, this incident left Madhuri shattered. She cried in her vanity van. The actress felt embarrassed by the scene. She vowed never to do such intimate scenes again.
