Bradley Cooper Is 51 and Gigi Hadid Is 31, and Somehow the 20-Year Age Gap Between Them Is Invisible

Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid have been together since late 2023, and by mid-2026 they’re somewhere around the 3-year mark with no signs of slowing down. The wild part isn’t the longevity. It’s that two decades sit between them and you genuinely cannot feel it.

Here’s why the gap disappears.

They started where most strong couples start. They met at a mutual friend’s kid’s backyard birthday party in 2023, got spotted at Via Carota that October, and stayed quiet for over a year before going Instagram-official with a kiss photo around her 30th birthday in May 2025. No publicity launch, no staged rollout, no flex. Just two people who actually clicked and took their time about it.

They photograph like two people operating at the same wattage. Bradley has the classic leading-man bone structure, salt-and-pepper hair, and the kind of fit, well-rested presentation a lot of 50-something men would pay for. Gigi is peak supermodel. When they’re photographed together, they read as two very good-looking people in the same frame, not as an older guy with a younger woman on his arm.

They’re in the same life stage, even if the birth certificates disagree. Both are single parents to daughters, both are co-parenting in public (with Irina Shayk and Zayn Malik), and both are raising girls roughly the same age. Khai and Lea reportedly get along and see each other often. That’s a shared daily reality that overrides a number on paper.

The chemistry photographs real. The hand-holding on dates, the way they look at each other in the Met Gala shots, the relaxed body language. It reads affectionate, not posed. At this year’s Met Gala, Gigi walked the carpet alone, Bradley slipped in afterward, they got caught kissing, and she gave him a rare public shoutout as her “man,” crediting him (after her daughter) with helping her stay grounded.

Gigi isn’t the junior partner in this. She’s a Hadid with her own platform, her own modeling legacy, business interests, and the kind of social-media-era cultural pull traditional actors don’t always have. In old Hollywood metrics Bradley has the edge (Oscar nominations, directing, decades of prestige). In 2026 cultural currency Gigi arguably matches him, and in some arenas outpaces him. That flips the usual older-man-providing-status script and removes most of the discomfort people feel with big age gaps.

There’s also no trophy dynamic to squint at. Both are independently rich, famous, and established. Neither needs the other for a career bump or a youth injection. Insiders describe mutual respect and a low-key, romantic dynamic, and Gigi has called their life together “very romantic and happy.”

Bradley’s presentation closes whatever gap is left. He’s famous for physical transformations, he stays in shape, and he carries himself with the energy of someone still very much in the game. When the plastic surgery rumors picked up in late 2025 and early 2026, he addressed them on SmartLess in January 2026. Will Arnett shut it down in the group: “Everybody thinks that Bradley’s had plastic surgery. Everybody keeps saying that. I’m like, ‘What people don’t know is that he hasn’t.’ Of course he hasn’t!” Bradley said strangers had started walking up to him telling him he looked good, and seemed amused by the whole thing. The likely answer is the standard Hollywood combination of fitness, grooming, skincare, possibly subtle non-surgical maintenance, good lighting, and genetics. He looks like a well-kept 51-year-old, not a man with a new face.

Put it all together and the 20 years stop registering. Two attractive, successful people met through a mutual friend’s kid, took it slow, blended their families, and ended up in a relationship that looks like a partnership of equals. The age gap is real. It just isn’t doing any of the work people usually expect it to.
