Himachal Pradesh Weather: Himachal Pradesh, reeling under the inclement weather, has been hit by another cloudburst in Mayad valley of the Lahaul Spiti district.
The cloudburst due to heavy rains caused massive damage, affecting the people of six villages. People had to leave their houses to save themselves. The mobile connectivity in the region was also hit due to heavy rainfall, and the crops were damaged.
The administration has started relief work. At around 7:00 pm on Tuesday, cloudbursts occurred in Gudhar Nala, Karpat Nala, Changut Nala, Udgos Nala and Tingret Nala. Because of the coudbursts, the bridges built in Karpat Nala, Changut Nala and Udgos Nala were washed away.

Moreover, the big bridge built on Mayad Nala in Mayad Valley also got submerged in water. In the morning, the administration started relief work in the area and the process of assessing the damage is underway.
A team from the Sub-Divisional Office Udaipur, along with the Public Works Department (PWD) and Jal Shakti Department, has reached the site of the incident. A team from the Revenue Department and Sub-Divisional Office has reached Karpat village to provide rations to the affected villagers. The damage to roads and bridges is also being assessed.
