New Mahindra BE 6e Teaser: Mahindra has dropped a surprise teaser video of the upcoming model on its social media account, stating that ‘Born in the shadows. Built for the spotlight’, while also announcing its arrival on August 14. We have nabbed some screenshots showing the upcoming model hiding in the shadows. And to be fair, we believe it could be a new variant of the BE 6e electric SUV.
New Mahindra Teaser Details
While details regarding the official name of the model have yet to be revealed, Mahindra might call it the BE 6e Dark Edition. According to the teaser, the model in question follows Mahindra’s Born Electric design philosophy, featuring aggressive front styling characterised by striking elements and illuminated Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs). Expected bits include aero wheels, thick cladding, and new badging.
Furthermore, there is a possibility that the new variant of the BE 6e could get a more powerful all-wheel-drive setup. The regular version gets two battery packs: 59kWh and 79kWh. With a bigger battery, the electric SUV yields power outputs ranging from 228bhp to 282bhp in the rear-wheel-drive configuration. The brand claims an ARAI-certified range of up to 682km on a single charge. Three drive modes are on offer: Race, Range, and Everyday.

With its upcoming model, Mahindra appears to strengthen its BE line-up with the introduction of a different powertrain option and a new variant. Apart from that, the company will showcase its four new SUV concepts on August 15. Based on Mahindra’s new Nu platform, the concepts will be the Vision S, X, SXT and T.
