Congress has suffered a major setback in the Begusarai Assembly elections 2025. Rahul Gandhi had done a unique campaign here by wading into a pond and fishing, but still Congress candidate Amita Bhushan lost to BJP candidate Kundan Kumar by about 31,000 votes. This result made it clear that even high-profile campaigning could not change the attitude of the voters of Begusarai.
