Gujarat News: Gift of Rs 9,700 crore on the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the national festival.

Gandhinagar. Tribal Pride Year is being celebrated across the country to honor the bravery and contribution of tribal heroes. The 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda will be specially celebrated by the Central Government on 15 November 2025. On this occasion, a national level festival has been organized in Narmada district of Gujarat under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

National level grand program in Narmada district

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel will also be present in this program to be held in Dediapada. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will present the development works worth more than Rs 9,700 crore of the Central and State Government here. The program will begin with the Prime Minister offering prayers at Devmogra Dham. Located in the Satpura mountain range, this Dham is the main center of faith of the tribal society. Tribal artists from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat will perform in traditional style to welcome the Prime Minister.

Gift of development works worth more than Rs 9,700 crore

Under this festival, the Central Government will donate Rs 7,667 crore and the State Government will donate various development works worth Rs 2,112 crore. In the evening, a theatrical presentation based on the life of Lord Birsa Munda will also be organized in Ekta Nagar, which will be telecast live in 23 tehsils of the tribal districts. The Prime Minister will address the public meeting on this occasion.

Tribal Pride Rath Yatra in Gujarat

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, Rath Yatra is being taken out in 14 tribal districts of the state. It will start from Umargam and Ambaji and end at Ekta Nagar on 13 November 2025. Till now more than 5.94 lakh people have joined these programs. Health camps, Seva Setu programmes, cleanliness drives, school-college competitions and awareness programs are being organized during the Yatra.

A national seminar was held on the life of Lord Birsa Munda on 1 November 2025. Also his tableau and exhibition pavilion were inaugurated. 10 stalls were also set up to promote tribal art and cuisine.
