New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation after the NDA won the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 with historic numbers on November 14. Modi made a grand entry with a waving gamcha and then greeted all party members at the party headquarters.
Modi began his speech by praising Chhathi Maiya, stating, ‘Jai Chhathi Maiya, yeh prachand jeet, atoot vishvas, Bihar ke logo ne bilkul garda uda diya hai.’ Modi thanked the people of Bihar for trusting him and voting for development. NDA retained the power in Bihar after a historic win.
PM Modi took a jibe at the opposition and declared that people of Bihar voted for ‘Viksit Bharat.’
Modi credited all women and youth of Bihar as he confirmed that people had given him a new MY formula of Mahila and Yuva (Women and Youth).
“Some parties in Bihar had created the appeasement formula of MY. But today’s victory has given a new positive MY formula, and that is Mahila (women) and Youth. Today, Bihar is among those states of the country that have the highest number of youth, and this includes youth from every religion and every caste. Their desire, their aspiration and their dreams have completely destroyed the old communal MY formula of the Jungle Raj people..” PM Narendra Modi elaborating on ‘MY formula’.
Modi also heaped praise on Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership and also toasted him for the magnificent victory to retain power.
The Bihar elections of 2025 displayed an outstanding voting percentage among the people, especially the young first-time voters. There was also no violence reported during the counting phase, which Modi highlighted in his speech, and he also hailed the Election Commission for ensuring the elections went smoothly.
