Bihar Assembly Elections: In a significant political development, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is leading in more than 200 assembly seats in Bihar and on the way to form the new government in the state with a historic two-third majority.

In the total NDA tally that it is leading in, BJP is leading in 91 seats and its ally JD(U) is leading in 81 seats. However, one big name that is emerging after BJP’s land slide victory in the state is that of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and fire brand BJP leader Yogi Adityanath.

How CM Yogi Adityanth helped BJP in Bihar?

In the recent development, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emerged as the most popular star campaigner for the NDA in the Bihar Assembly Elections, where the alliance surged ahead with 200 seats, giving it more than a possible two-thirds majority in the house. As per the current standing of leading candidates, the BJP alone is leading in 91 seats. Various media reports have noted the fact that Yogi’s strong presence on the campaign trail of BJP became a key talking point as the NDA consolidated its position across the state.

Known for his aggressive and high-impact poll style rooted in Hindutva and nationalism, CM Yogi Adityanath energised the NDA’s campaign. With a mix of religious-cultural messaging and strong leadership projection, CM Yogi helped the alliance connect with voters, contributing significantly to the NDA’s sweeping performance in Bihar.

Yogi Adityanth’s rallies in Bihar

Notably, UP CM Yogi began his Bihar campaign on October 16 and, in just ten days, conducted an intensive outreach effort completing 31 election events, including 30 rallies and one roadshow. Through these events, the UP CM directly sought votes for 43 candidates from the BJP and its allies JDU, LJP (Ram Vilas), HAM, and Rashtriya Lok Morcha giving the NDA’s campaign a major push at the grassroots level.

For comparison, other top leaders held fewer rallies in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed 14 public rallies, Home Minister Amit Shah held 24, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held 13, and BJP President JP Nadda spoke at 11. Against this backdrop, Yogi’s high-octane presence stood out clearly.
