This date will end the next day on 01 December at 07:01 am. In such a situation, according to Udayatithi, this year Mokshada Ekadashi will be celebrated on 01 December. Its fast will also be observed on this day.
Mokshada Ekadashi Puja (Mokshada Ekadashi Puja Vidhi)
- On the day of Mokshada Ekadashi, wake up in the morning and take bath.
- After this, wear clean clothes and take a pledge to fast.
- Light a lamp in the home temple.
- After this, place the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu on a post.
- After this perform Jalabhishek of Lord Vishnu.
- Then make Shri Hari wear yellow clothes.
- After this, apply Tilak of Roli and Akshat to Lord Vishnu.
- Then offer yellow food.
- After this listen to the story of Ekadashi fast.
- Recite Vishnu Sahasranama mantra.
- Chant the mantras of Lord Vishnu
- Finally conclude the puja by performing aarti.
Significance of Mokshada Ekadashi
Mokshada Ekadashi, its very name speaks of salvation. By observing this fast a person attains salvation. This fast destroys all the sins of a person. Not only this, the ancestors of those who observe this fast also attain salvation. According to Vishnu Purana, Shri Krishna himself had told Arjun that fasting on Mokshada Ekadashi gives a place in Vaikuntha Dham.
