JDU supporters started celebrating in Patna as soon as NDA got the lead in Bihar election counting trends. Posters of Nitish Kumar with slogans like “Tiger Zinda Hai” and “Bihar means Nitish Kumar” were put up in the city.
Since Wednesday morning, there was such an atmosphere on the streets of Patna as if the results of the assembly elections had come. The counting of votes is not even half over, but JDU supporters have already started the ‘grand celebration’ of victory. Huge, shiny and high-gloss posters of Nitish Kumar have been hung on major intersections, walls and government and non-government buildings of the capital, which has transformed the entire Patna into a ‘JDU theme park’.
The most discussed poster is the one in which Nitish Kumar is shown with a tiger. Above it is written in bold letters, Tiger Zinda Hai. Former minister Ranjit Sinha himself got this poster installed outside the Chief Minister’s residence. The message of the poster was very clear, Nitish is still the ‘real tiger’ in Bihar politics.

Another big poster read, Bihar means Nitish Kumar. As the trend started coming in favor of NDA, these posters started being put up in different areas of the city. Political analysts are considering this poster as the ‘boldest claim’. In this, Nitish has been presented not just as a leader but as the identity of Bihar. Amidst the election excitement, this poster is also going viral on social media.
Counting of votes continues, but JDU’s celebration intensifies
Seeing NDA getting a huge lead in the trends and JDU getting more seats than expected, celebrations have started in the JDU office. Firecrackers are burning, drums are playing and enthusiasm among the workers is at its peak. Many supporters were seen saying, “The laddus are also ready…just the seal is left.”
