Utpanna Ekadashi 2025: Fast is observed on Ekadashi of Krishna and Shukla Paksha every month. There are two Ekadashi fasts every month. When is Utpanna Ekadashi? (When is Utpanna Ekadashi 2025)
This year, the Ekadashi date of Krishna Paksha of Margashirsha month is starting on 15th November at 12.49 am. This date will end the next day on November 16 at 02:37 pm. Since Ekadashi Tithi is starting at the time of sunrise on 15th November, hence the fast of Utpanna Ekadashi will be observed this time on 15th November i.e. tomorrow.
Keep these things related to Tulsi in mind on Utpanna Ekadashi
Do not water basil
According to Hindu religious beliefs, it is said that Tulsi Mata observes Nirjala fast for Lord Vishnu on the day of Ekadashi. In religious scriptures, giving water to Tulsi Mata on this day is prohibited, because giving water on this day breaks the fast of Tulsi Mata.
Do not pluck basil leaves and pay attention to cleanliness
It is also forbidden to pluck Tulsi leaves on the day of Ekadashi. Also, on the day of Ekadashi, special care should be taken for cleanliness near the Tulsi plant. It is believed that due to dirt near Tulsi, Goddess Lakshmi does not reside in the house.
Do not touch Tulsi with dirty or dirty hands
On the day of Ekadashi, one should not touch Tulsi with dirty or dirty hands. It is believed that if Tulsi is touched with dirty or false hands, it leads to inauspicious results.
