Tough contest between NDA and Grand Alliance across the state
According to the Election Commission website, overall the contest in Bihar is very close.
- JDU: ahead on 63 seats
- BJP: lead on 61 seats
- RJD: ahead on 34 seats
- Congress: ahead on 11 seats
With the beginning of counting of votes, NDA has crossed the majority mark of 122, which seems to indicate return to power.
BJP claims, Nitish Kumar is the Chief Minister again
Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal said today that the public opinion is clearly visible and the NDA government is going to be formed again. He said that NDA contested this election on the face of Nitish Kumar and the public has accepted this decision. According to him, from PM Modi, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh to Chirag Paswan, all the leaders together fought this election with unity.
